WHAT DO YOU DO?
At Jenny Wren's, we specialise in hand and footprints, ceramic bisque and delicious food and drink. We have a variety of ceramics available to paint for a range of occasions - our stock changes regularly so we don't have a specific price list, although our items range from £4-£50.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
We glaze and fire everything on site, which takes around a week to complete. The painting takes as much time as you wish to spend on it! Silver jewellery takes around 3 weeks to create, and Outprints take between 2-3 weeks depending on whether they are framed.
ARE YOU FAMILY FRIENDLY?
Of course! We have several parking spaces available on the doorstep for ease of access, as well as ample space at the front of the shop to store prams. We pride ourselves on being breastfeeding friendly, just pop in to feed baby, no need to feel obliged to purchase! Just let us know if you would prefer a quieter place to feed and we can arrange that for you.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I BOOK A TABLE FOR?
Please book a table for painters and non painters so we can guarantee you a big enough table. Please include babies of all ages in these numbers.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
All our pottery is individually priced. This includes the use of paints, glazing and firing in our on site kiln. Prices vary from £4 for our small letters, up to £50 for our largest pieces.
HOW LONG WILL MY ITEMS TAKE TO BE READY?
We aim to have all pottery items ready within 1 week. Unframed outprints can take 2 weeks and framed outprints and silver jewellery take 3 weeks.
WHEN WILL I KNOW TO COLLECT MY ITEMS?
We will contact you via text message and inform you when your items are ready to collect. There may be the occasion where the text doesn’t reach you. If you have waited longer than the above expected turnaround times chances are your items are ready. You can always contact us to confirm this before heading back to us to collect.
DO YOU STILL OFFER FREE TILES FOR BABIES UNDER 6 WEEKS?
We do, we have been offering the free newborn tiles for over 10 years and we love giving the free gift to new parents. Babies under 6 weeks get a free hand and footprint tile, once babies have turned 6 weeks these tiles can still be done at the cost of £12. We also have custom made frames available for £10 each.
DO YOU DO BIRTHDAY PARTIES?
We do! Our birthday party package information is available on our website and our social media accounts. Please note we don’t run parties in November and December.
DO YOU HAVE ADULT ONLY SESSIONS?
We currently run a weekly evening session from 6:30pm-9:30pm every Thursday. Details are available on our website or our social media accounts.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
We have a few spaces directly outside the shop that customers are welcome to use. Alternatively there is The Forge car park across the road; Monday to Saturday 9am-3pm there is a small free and it is free after 3pm and also free all day on Sundays. There is also a Euro Car parks behind the shop that is free for 90mins, please note this uses an ANPR camera and you will receive a fine if you go over the allowed time. Jenny Wren’s has no power to overturn any fines received.
ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
We love pets however we don’t allow animals into the shop, but we do have outside seating with a heater. Pet prints can be done on outprints, jewellery and ceramic items. A member of staff can guide you with this.
DAMAGED ITEMS
We try our best to ensure that the creative journey you take with us is fun and enjoyable. The final part of the journey involves the glazing and firing of your pottery. Sadly, this is not an exact science and the kiln is sometimes unpredictable. While we strive for perfection it doesn’t happen all the time, particularly as these are hand produced crafts. Glaze spotting can occur as well as things like brick dust on the items. So please be aware that although we try to control for these events, it is not always possible.
In the exceptional event of your pottery breaking or cracking in the kiln, we will offer compensation by way of a replacement voucher.
DO YOU CATER FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL DIETRY REQUIREMENTS?
We do, we offer oat and soya milk as alternatives and we have dairy free cheese and butter. We serve vegan and gluten free cakes (subject to availability). We also have gluten free bread for our delicious toasties.
